Preschool Play - Computer Paper!

Way back in 2007, my two big guys were two little munchkins only 3 and 4 years old. I found these photos from an old blog of mine. We had some computer paper that Aunty Kerrie kindly gave to us. {Do you know that stuff? It's the stuff that *old* computers used to use and it has perforations in between each sheet. We used it as kids too and LOVED it! I remember so much of my childhood was spent drawing on sheet after sheet of this stuff!}
Anyway, I digress. Back when the boys were small, we got out the computer paper and we laid it out...

got out some paint...

and got busy squishing paint between our toes...

and painted with our feet!

I loved looking back at those old shots of our little boys with long curly hair!

Well, yesterday Brett asked me if we still had any of that computer paper left and where it was.
He'd had an idea!
Here's what he got up to with Zippi :)

Brett asked Zip to lie on the computer paper and then traced around her body's outline...

Then he had the idea of letting her decorate it with things from the craft cupboard.
So they got out wool for hair...

some googly eyes...

a pink carboard circle cut in half for a mouth...

and some red streamers for a collar...

Brett got an old shirt and cut it up to make a skirt and let Zip decorate it with lots of dots and spots :)

"Mum, look at MEEEEEEEE!" she proudly exclaimed when they were done!

A simple and fun way to spend part of a morning.

This isn't one of those activities that you would start to do when you're cooking obviously, but still a fun way for a daddy to spend time with his munchkin girl.

Do you still have old computer paper like this? If not, you could purchase a DRAWING ROLL OF PAPER FROM IKEA FOR $7.99 . I reckon it would be just as good!

More soon,
