Then Saturday is a sabbath and for us, Sunday is an extra Sabbath too since it is the final day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread for our family (we had Passover on the Sunday night, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread on the Monday and that makes Sunday the seventh day for us). Sunday ALSO happens to be the First Fruits!
I LOVE this time of year! So much to celebrate and remember! So wonderful!!!
So I moved my shopping and menu planning day ahead this week from its normal Friday to Thursday.
Here's what's planned for the week ahead:
Friday:
Dinner: Fish (New Zealand Hoki we get from Aldi) and Potato gems
Shabbat:
Lunch: Pizzas on rice wraps
Dinner: Chicken and white wine casserole with rice (we were going to have this last week just gone but decided to make the chicken and corn soup instead).
Sunday: FIRST FRUITS + LAST SHABBAT FOR THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
Breakfast: Each year for firstfruits we do a big spread of fresh fruits with flat plain flour pancakes or waffles
(This is what we had last year!)
Lunch: Rice Wraps if we are hungry but I doubt we will be!
Dinner: Meatloaf and mash and beans
Monday:
Dinner: Pupu's chunky pancakes
Tuesday:
Dinner: Falafels + salad
Wednesday:
Dinner: Chicken Fettucine
Thursday:
Dinner: Scrambled Eggs of toast
Well, that's what's cooking this week!
What about at your place?
What's on the menu for the week to come?
Love and blessings,
