Dee + Zippi...
With mum + dad...
Anyway, on Saturday night (after the big day down in Sydney) I attended a beautiful ladies night at our church called 'Create'. Nomes + Brad + others set it up beautifully - candles in glasses, cherry blossoms on tables...
So much seems to be filling my days lately - good precious stuff - but it leaves little time for other things like blogging and even creative things I want to be doing. I think at the moment the Lord is teaching me the difference though between things I WANT to be doing and the stuff I NEED to be doing. And how to do the things I NEED to be doing WITH JOY!
I took the kids last night to watch Brett play basketball in his local comp + we really enjoyed that. Simple pleasures hey :) And afterwards he + I had a nice Thai takeaway (our fave). The kids had already had their safe meal before we left. The kids' behaviour is back to normal now and I've really appreciated their obedience/empathy/compassion/loveliness much more this week after last week! Was a busy day yesterday after cooking for mother's group and burning a pear cake :( but making a nice new rice flakes slice to take instead :)
What else? Seeing the dietician next week for our yearly update + make sure we are travelling well with the low salicylate - additive free diet.
Kids have been learning to label all the continents + the world's oceans.
Brad, our mate, has kindly started giving Liji weekly drum lessons. Stass is loving her keyboard lessons + doing really well too :) Ethi is drawing up a STORM at the moment - so beautiful. And Zippi, well she is almost sitting up on her own (for a little while + then she does that flop forward thing - so cute!)
Some weeks marriages go through harder things than normal but the Lord is Lord of all! We can completly trust Him with EVERYTHING - including the rough stuff - especially the hard stuff - and we can lean on Him for victory :) Praise Him for that!
Bek, I still have half of Ben's (+ the kids') presents here - i haven't forgotten you! I know you know that :)
Kath - my email has been playing up a bit but I read part of your message + will try and email back when it is working fully again!
Anth - thank you my dearest most beautiful friend for your phone message. Will try and call you back sometime this week mate. Love to you!
Other than that, not much more to report i think.
Here's one for my sisters of their cute neice who loves her showers with her daddy...
5 things I am thankful for today:
1. Karen giving me her Avent sterillizer
2. I am so thankful that my life is now hidden with Christ in God. That is an amazing thing that I can't fully get my head around but am thankful for anyway. It speaks of a precious bond + securedness (is that a word???), a sacredness + set-apart-ness that I would not be the same without.
3. Chats with my beautiful mate Loz Boz
4. Finding our washing machine reciept (after we had prayed) that we thought we'd lost
5. That the washing machine is still under warranty!!!
Love and blessings,
Lus x

What a delightful family you have!
So good to read your update. You are so inspirational. Cool that you got to see your sisters. If I don't get to say so on the day - happy 30th birthday! xo
So glad to hear you are enjoying family. Even if it is for a short time only. Thinking of you...
ps - 5 month!!!!! already?
How exciting for you to see spend time with both your sisters! That's something I really treasure too as we only get together once or twice a year (all 3 of us that is).
"I think at the moment the Lord is teaching me the difference though between things I WANT to be doing and the stuff I NEED to be doing. And how to do the things I NEED to be doing WITH JOY" - how true is that. Something that I've been learning lately too...It's amazing how life starts to flow better when we follow God's leading on these things instead of putting OUR wants first. I find when I put the need-to-do's first we have a much more peaceful household where there is more than enough time to do the "wants". I just need to work on the joy part a bit more (well a LOT actually).
Love Jas xx
I echo what Jas has just said, that lesson really rings true for me atm now too. Something I still need to get a grasp on though. With God hey? But thanks for the little kick I probably needed to realise that priority.
I just love seeing pics of you and your sisters, I know how much your heart sings when you are all together. Just beautiful.
Your 'create' night looks like it was a beautiful affair! Wish I could have heard Sharon speak, what a great analogy.
And Oh My how gorgeous is Zip! Can't believe she's content with her head under the water stream like that!
Wow Lusi, Zip is growing so big. I just had the same type of weekend. My sister was down from Makay It is alway so wonderful to spend time with her but its never enough and over to quickly.
Your church goes all out for their girly nights looks like it would have been fun.
Hi Lusi,
It's wonderful to have the joy of the Lord in our hearts. It makes doing even the most menial job worthwhile.
Have a wonderful week, well, what's left of it.
Blessings,
Jillian

How blessed you are to have sisters- looked like you all had a wonderful time. Jo
4 kids - no washing machine - yikes! Cant believe that little girl is 5 months - where has that gone???
Must catch up, in person, soon.
Have a great weekend.

Hey lovely love,
Always nice to see pics of your beautiful parents and sisters. :) Looks like that was a great day.
How wonderful are the people at your church? :-D
Hey, if you want any advice about being awake hourly every night for months... you know I'm your girl! lol. People just won't believe me when I say sleep is totally overrated! Ha. I'm kidding, you know. I do hope you and Zip can get some more rest, poor things.
Speaking of diet stuff (good to hear your lot are back to normal) we've been a bit slack about dairy lately, plus T's been cooking at school and yesterday we went to 2 birthday parties... and Talitha's asthma is back for the first time. I'd almost forgotten about asthma... Oh well, back on the cart...
Hope you're all having a great weekend. Happy Father's Day to Brettski!
