Sick kids, blue skies + other randomness...

Thought I would just take a couple of snaps from our weekend and other random bits from our lives right now to share + remember for the future...

1. Mine + Stass's special journal. We've been writing in this since part way through last year + it is so special to look through for me. It documents our hearts shared on this mother-daughter journey...

2. Liji wondered what would happen if he lined up all these plastic math-manipulative coloured bears + then spun the server really fast...

Um...this..... :) Love the way my eyes (and the lens) mix the colours together...

3. The boys (aka George and Gary!) wanted to do a Master Chef Master class for us all yesterday morning...

"Put the saffron threads in..."!!!!
Zippi was first in line for a taste test...
Ethi was 'sprinking some salt' into his special pot...

4. checking out the vegie garden...
nice fat worms on the end of brett's fork as he was turning over the compost...
5. quick game of baseball in the backyard...
6. headed off to bathurst on a bit of a whim to support brett's team since Zippi had been doing SO much better. Her eyes had stopped gunking over miraculously (!thank you God!)+ we just kept her well away from any other kids. Was a blessed time for us to chat + hang out together...
7. the boys painting indoors...

8. poor little Stass though is sick today with a bit of a fever + flu-like symptoms...lots of rest for her

5 things I am thankful for today:

1. new plans :)
2. Zippi's very quick healing
3. supportive, hospitable + encouraging friends
4. chances to chat on long drives
5. that my corned beef cooked nicely in the slow cooker - can't believe it actually worked!

Hmmmm, those teddy bears look familiar. Looks like you do Saxon Math too.

Have a great day with those kiddos!

Hi Stacie!
You use these same bears for Saxon math? Wow - we bought them from a different supplier before we were homeschooling. I have heard good things about Saxon Math though. How do you find it? We are using Math U See at the moment and are liking that but I do add in other souces too.
Have a blessed day :)
Love Lusi x
