I sewed a skirt!!!

Yay! Using the link I shared a couple of posts back (which i can't link to whilst in Picasa sorry!) I made this little skirt for Stassi tonight. I can't wait to see her wearing it in the morning (and just hope that it fits!) lol :)
Anyway, was so excited that I just wanted to share it before I went to bed as proof that all things are possible! LOL - Its been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, to make something for my own daughter some day. And of course, not owning a sewing machine doesn't really help you ever achieve that! lol :) I am so excited that although its not the most elaborate or amazing thing in the world, that I have actually been able to sew something that Stass can wear!
Going to bed giggling tonight!

Here is an awesome list of tutes for sewing absolutely everything, so you can better your skills.( Also if you ever want to borrow some patterns (you know I have many) Just let me or mum know an i will get them to you. Glad to see that you are all doing well and bubba is healthy.

Yay Lus! Good work. :) Good to read that Stass loves it, too.

I was relieved, too, to read that Stass only just lost her first tooth. Most of T's friends lost one or two last year and I was beginning to worry about it.

Are you guys doing the tooth fairy or something like that?

Hi Sum :)
It's her first top tooth but she lost two bottom teeth last year when she was 6. I reckon most kids just lose them somewhere between 4 and hmmmm about 7! lol :) I have no idea but this one didn't look like it was going to move. Some of her friends have lost 6 or 7 teeth so i guess it just depends on the kid.
We don't actually do the tooth fairy thing but we do put their tooth in a glass and in the morning when they wake up they know that mum and dad have placed a coin under it. So far for each of the three teeth she's lost she's gotten 20cents under the glass and she thinks that is awesome. I guess the main difference for us is that we are telling her that we put it there and she still gets to enjoy the surprise of seeing a coin there in the morning :)
Hope you are all well mate and that Talitha settled back into school well.
Lots of love,
Lus x
