Today we baked some lowish salicylate/chemical cookies and cakes. Both the boys did things for the first time; Liji and Ethi both used the electric mixers on their own (but were of course supervised) and Liji learnt the word spatula for the first time. From the cracking of the eggs to the reading measurements/temperatures on the recipe, from greasing the 6 cake tins to breaking up the *safe* chocolate bars, the boys did it almost all from start to finish. It was a lovely morning!
