Today...

1. Love it when kids just fall asleep in random spots!
2 & 3. The boys loving playing with bubbles
4. Stassi baked her first cake from start to finish by herself (supervised!). It was delicious :) and she did very well with it all!

The tooth issue is on its way to being solved! Yay! Praise God for that :)

5 things I am thankful to the Lord for today:

1. Brett's RDO was today so that I could rest, he could take me to the dentist and the chemist. I LOVE it when he has an RDO and was soooooooooo thankful today that I wasn't on my own when I was feeling so crook!
2. That we finally have a time/day to get my tooth pulled
3. Compassionate ladies in both dental clinics who were so easy to deal with
4. My chat with Loz
5. REST!

Thinking of you lots, esp. with the tooth issue. Hope all goes well in that.
Hey, can you tell me about the term 'Bless You' when said amongst Christians. I watched a Louie Giglio DVd and it has given me a tainted idea of it, so would love to know your view.

Hi Gail! Hope you are well my friend :)

Thought I would share my heart on the 'bless you' thing you asked about. Some verses firstly that speak of us blessing others...

In Genesis 12:3 God tells Abram (before his name is changed to Abraham) "I will bless those who bless you..."

In Numbers 6 the Lord tells Moses to instruct Aaron & his sons to bless the Israelites in this way...

Num 6:24-26
"The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace."

Romans 12:14 reminds us to "bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse".

1 Corinthians 4:12 & 13
Paul says that, 'when we are cursed, we bless, when we are persecuted, we endure it; when we are slandered, we answer kindly."

From my understanding mate, when we bless others, we are invoking God's blessing on them. We are chosing the opposite of cursing them and we are being favourable to another. I hope some of that makes sense. I'm wondering if Louis was talking about the old 'bless you' when someone sneezes which was brought about, as I understand, during the times of the bubonic plague and had a mysticsm surrounding it. Was that what he was speaking about? Blessing others in the name of the Lord certainly is Biblical and I often say it with great affection to my friends - God bless you!
Hope that helps. Let me know your thoughts mate :)

Ha! You've hit the nail on the head. I now remember Louie did make comment on us already being abundantly blessed, AFTER he made comment about people saying it in response to a sneeze [I had forgotten that connection]. I was thinking he was saying that we don't need to bless each other cause the Lord has already abundantly blessed us with more than we can grasp. Isn't it amazing how a simple mis understanding of a comment, can have us spirialing down a completely wrong train of thought?
Thank you for stating an answer so clearly. I can now accept such blessings with delight instead of confusion. Hey, and so pleased to hear that Brett has faired well, I hope that your visit is just as successful. Love GG
