12 seater dining

Recently, when I was still holding onto the scrapbooking mag work, the main reason was clearly becoming purely financial. Those little cheques really added up and were making a difference. I was talking about it with Brett one night and he said, 'hey if the Lord is telling you to give it up, then He'll provide for us in another way hey'.
So true.
And He already has.
I kid you not.
A week after resigning from my positions with another bub on the way and nothing except God's promises to keep us trusting (Matthew 6:33), we recieved a cheque for more than what I earned last year in those scrapping positions. Seriously, we were floored. This person did not know I had quit my posts at the time, nor have they done anything like this in the past. It was completely unexpected.
Completely rocked us because it showed us that when we are obedient to what the Lord is telling us, that He will never see us stuck. I still can't believe it.
Anyway, we decided to buy a big 12 seater table (the one above has the two grandfather style chairs but we aren't getting those -we are getting 2 normal ones for each end. the pic above is also from the catalogue - not my house!) and that way we can have our family plus the grandparents' and others here too at the one big table.
So much life happens at our table; sharing, praying, learning, weeping, consoling, laughing, eating of course and just celebrating!
Praise God for being so faithful! I praise you Lord because you never leave us nor abandon us. I thank you for that person's blessed generous heart and I know you will see that person through too.
God is so good!
I'll leave you with a copy and pasted excerpt of Matthew 6:25-34: powerful words to give us hope from the Lord....
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Oh yes. God provides!
Would love to know where you are getting that 12 seater table from. Ours fits 10 and we already use 9 so we usually get the card tables out for the kids when we have more, and they pretend they are at a restaurant :)

So yours will be even bigger than the one in the photo? Nice!

We love our big dining table, it's good for just about everything! For the kids, I mean. Of course. ;)

Ok ignore me. I suddenly realised (while lying down with the bub) that you said you're getting two normal chairs for each end. So it's the same size but 12 seats. Right.

ANyway YAY! :)
